Paganini's Violin “The Cannon”

Paganini's Cannon

Niccolo Paganini named his violin “The Cannon” or “Il Cannone” because of its ability to “boom” in any concert hall.
Notice the wear left of the tailpiece where the varnish is worn off. (I know of no eye-witness accounts of Paganini ever using a chinrest.)
